| Founded 11th April 2000 The International Women's Club, Edinburgh was founded by a small group of women searching for a multi-national, multi-cultural, diverse, organisation in the city. The culmination of their efforts resulted in the inaugural meeting of the Club being held on the 27th September 2000. Hosted by its first Patron, The Lady Provost, Mrs. Janis Milligan, the City Chambers was the perfect setting for such a momentous occasion. The current Patron is the Dowager Countess of Wemyss and March. The main focus of the Club is to provide women of every nationality living in the Edinburgh area with the opportunity to meet each other regularly to share their culture, history, art, language and culinary traditions. In addition to the meetings which take place monthly, a variety of tours and activities are also arranged. Within the International Women's Club, Edinburgh, international and Scottish lifestyles are intertwined, highlighted and enjoyed. Please join our unique club as our history continues to unfold. |
